Shop Plants by Light Level
Low Light Plants
These plants can survive in lower light areas where there is little natural light. They can be kept deeper into a room, farther from windows. Overhead lights and lamps can be enough to keep them happy, though they will grow faster with more light.
Medium Light Plants
These plants like to have a bit more light. They should be kept near windows that are shaded or don’t receive direct sunlight. Overhead lights can be used but they need to be bright and on for a large part of the day.
High Light Plants
These plants need a lot of light so should be kept directly next to a window. They can be kept deeper into a room if there is bright, consistent overhead lighting most of the day. They can also receive some direct light throughout the day as long as it is softened by shade, blinds, or mottled by outside foliage.
